Business Development Associate Clinipace Worldwide - Taipei, Taiwan (office-based)

Job Overview:

The Business Development (BD) Associate has the responsibility for the efficient support and delivery of all business activities within their defined territory. The business development associate supports a business development team while performing mandatory tasks. This includes office administrative tasks, such as correspondence and capturing client information, and communicating with management concerning new development ideas, travel, meeting arrangements, responsible for preparing presentation materials, promotional packages, and various other marketing tasks, as requested.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings within BD team and upper management and/or meetings affiliated with other departments/countries
  • Assist in preparing official quotations, study proposals, presentation slides and all paper necessary which are required to facilitate business
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with clients and potential business partners in an effort to promote a climate that facilitates future sales for the organization
  • Assist in following up potential business partners on ongoing projects
  • Responsible on maintaining and updating required trackers and systems on a frequent basis
  • Coordinate and/or participate periodic client visits, trade shows, medical conferences and business events as necessary
  • Develop and implement sales plans and presentation materials. Oversee the implementation and progress of each protocol.
  • Provide support to BD team and upper management with travel and meeting arrangements, expense reports, and any additional administrative support, as needed.
  • Actively participate and facilitate the development of Business Development department tools, processes and systems.

Job Requirements:

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business management, science, administration or other related fields like revenue generation, strategy management, etc. from a certified college.
  • Experience
    • Previous BD or CR experience are preferred
    • Above 1 year’s experience in related fields is an added advantage.
  • Skills/Competencies
    • Good business sense.
    • Understanding about their market and competitors' products.
    • Good communications skills, both writing and verbally.
    • To be self-motivated but able to work as part of a team.
    • Good organizational and time-management skills.
    • A positive attitude.
    • Good negotiation skills and persuasiveness.
    • Confidence presenting to large groups of people.
    • Initiative and enterprise.
    • Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information.
    • A smart appearance and professional manner.
    • To enjoy networking and meeting new people.
    • Excellent written and oral skills in both local language and English.
    • Available for travel up to 60%.
