The Women's Rights Campaigning: Info-Activism Toolkit is a new guide for women's rights activists, advocates, NGOs and community based organisations who want to use technology tools and practices in their campaigning. With the proliferation of digital tools and platforms available to activists, it can sometimes be difficult to know where to start and which tools are best suited (or not) for different kinds of campaign and global contexts. This Toolkit assembles, strategies, digital tools and case studies from around the world with a critical focus on the intended strategic impact of digital campaigns.
It has been developed as part of CREA's New Voices / New Leaders: Women Building Peace and Reshaping Democracy project, supported by the FLOW Fund, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The aims of this project is to promote security by combating violence against women in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and Sub-Saharian Africa and actively involving women in processes of peace, security and reconstruction and to enhance the participation of women in politics and public administration. In the coming months the website will be translated into Arabic; Swahili; Bengali; and Hindi so please stay tuned.
This Toolkit has been customised from an updated version of two earlier toolkits: Message in a Box and Mobiles in a Box and also features content from our 10 Tactics suite of materials for women's rights activists.
