he Institute for Peace and Security Studies, IPSS, is calling for Abstracts on Government Development Strategies in the Pastoral areas of the Horn of Africa: lessons learned.
The research findings will largely focus on analyzing government policy and implementation of strategies with solid evidence in pastoralist areas of Africa. The specific objectives of the research include: investigating government development strategies and implementations in pastoral areas, analysing pastoralist response to these development strategies and documenting policy and strategic implications in the framework of food security and sustainable resource management.
The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 28 February 2014.
The research findings are expected to be presented and debated at an international conference to take place in October 2014.
