Job DescriptionWe are seeking an exceptional individual to optimize One Acre Fund’s digital assets, implement cutting-edge digital strategies that amplify the voices of smallholder farmers, and dramatically increase the engagement of supporters in online platforms.

Reporting to the global communications manager with latitude for strategy development and implementation, the digital media analyst will manage One Acre Fund’s digital and social platforms and implement best practices across all digital assets, with a particular focus on improving search engine optimization (SEO) and reaching new supporters with high affinity.

One Acre Fund’s rapid growth and demonstrated impact provides limitless opportunities to engage audiences interested in international development, social enterprise, and agriculture innovation. With your expertise, we’ll be able to stimulate a groundswell of support for some of the hardest-working farmers in the world.

Primary duties:
  • Develop and implement digital marketing and social networking strategies.
  • Maintain www.oneacrefund.org and manage contracts with web developers.
  • Maintain the organization’s UK and Netherlands websites and content.
  • Improve One Acre Fund’s SEO and grow the number of visitors to the website.
  • Oversee and produce daily content for One Acre Fund’s 7 social media networks.
  • Set up, track, and evaluate goals in Google Analytics.
  • Manage the Google AdWords grant and with a focus on meeting recruitment goals.
  • Institute best practices and updates to maintain excellent Google ratings.
  • Produce One Acre Fund’s e-newsletters, increasing open and click-through rates.
  • Closely follow and act on new media developments, platforms, and trending topics.
  • Monitor relevant breaking news and participate in rapid response communications.
  • Support global campaigns, ensuring maximum digital reach.
  • Support video production and editing.

Qualifications
We are seeking an exceptional digital analyst that will help take our organization to the next levels of impact and scale in the online space. Candidates who fit the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelors or masters degree in communications, computer science, marketing or equivalent program and/or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated fluency in digital and mobile communications.
  • Demonstrated fluency in social media networks and emerging platforms.
  • Fluency in SEO and Google scoring/ranking systems.
  • Fluency in Google AdWords and PPC.
  • Fluency in Google Analytics and related analytics systems.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to present data clearly.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML coding a plus.
  • Video editing a plus.
  • Language: English required.
